In 2026, Lucas earned the Silver Award for Best Editing Over 3 Minutes at the Shots Americas Awards for his work on a Huggies campaign. In 2024, he was recognized as one of the Best Editors of the Year by Eyecandy and has served as a jury member for internationally respected industry awards, including the UKVMA Awards — reflecting both his creative influence and strong reputation among peers.

A graduate in Cinema from PUC-RS, Brazil, with a specialization in Expanded Cinema, Lucas has built a multidisciplinary body of work defined by rhythm, emotional clarity, and bold visual storytelling.

Bad for a Moment — Received a Special Mention of the Jury at the Cannes Film Festival and won Best Editing at the XXX Caminhos do Cinema Português.

Alice — Won Best Short Film at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, qualifying it for consideration on the Oscars 2026 shortlist. The film explores identity, belonging, and resilience through the life of a trans surfer navigating societal challenges.

Abril de Helena — His latest documentary short won the Novíssimos Award at the IndieLisboa.

Inside The Blind Iris with Botis Seva and Far From the Norm — Screened at La Biennale di Venezia and awarded Gold at the 1.4 Awards and Ciclope 2023, while also being shortlisted for Best Editing at the Creative Circle Awards.

Sonho by Nego Bala — A celebrated hybrid narrative/music project that earned a Silver Lion at Cannes, Grand Clio, Grand Prix at Ciclope Latino, Best Narrative at the Berlin Music Video Festival, and Best Music Video at the Sharks Awards.
